The San Juan Robe draws it's name from the river that divides our home country, Costa Rica, from our northerly neighbor, Nicaragua. A conceptual approach to draping and construction, the current of the river is symbolized by the shape at the back, while vertical front flaps serve as closure and ascribe the aesthetic of landlines, seen from above, as in a map.
